Gas hog?

I have an 02 Blazer LS 2-door sport with the S-10 V-6 motor. I only get about 15 MPGs no matter whether on the highway or around town. With the gas prices so low I've ignored this but what goes down will always go up. Any ideas on how to improved the MPG on this model?

I got 19-20 mpg in my '01 Jimmy 2Dr after putting the K&N CAI, PCMforless tuned PCM, and a few other little tidbits in it. Dropped to ~17-18 mpg when I put the Duratrac's on it but was still halfway decent and would still average right about 19 when there were mostly highway miles put on the fill up.
Sadly that slight increase in mileage went to **** after I swamped it and dropped a reman engine and trans in it. It only averages a wide 13 to 16 mpg now and I think the spider needs replaced with the upgraded one to eliminate the big swing in the average.
Not much one can do to get any better mileage. The PCM made the biggest difference coupled with good street tires and a light foot. I don't think the CAI did crap for the mileage.

Mine is a 2001 LT 4WD with fresh rebuild. Blazer gas mileage sucks.
I get 19mpg straight highway mileage at 60-70mph. 12-14mpg ave driving back and forth to work at <50mph in good weather (50% small city/50%paved county roads). As near as I can tell, about 10mpg in 4WD Hi through snow to work (with 15 min warmups).

I have a 2dr 2wd. I get 20 MPG on the interstate running 70MPH. I can get anything between 10 and 18 MPG on local roads depending on 1) how short a drive it is, 2) how cold it is, 3) what traffic is like, and 4) how many traffic lights I hit. This Winter, a short drive to the hardware store might net me about 7 MPG.
I do monitor with the Torque app, which seems to be fairly close. The highway mileage was actual mileage before I had the valves and a lot of other stuff redone

Don't have engine rebuild but this is what I get..

I don't know about product names, but will mention one here. After a full tune-up including some sensor changes, fluid changes (antifreeze at 70/30, Valvoline Max Life 10W30), transmission fluid change and some nice Michelin tires we had balanced, we headed out on a 2.8k road trip. Using Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner every other fill up, speed was 65 mph and 70 tops, I got a whopping 28 mpg on my 2000 Blazer LS (4x4).
Roads were mixed. I'd say about 75% highway and 25% city. Around home, I normally get about 20 mpg because of all the stop signs and traffic lights

Was the "full tune up with sensor changes" at the dealership. A good friend is a mechanic and he answers my "why" questions. When he heard about our trip, he called and told me to get that done before we left. No, not drumming business up for himself -- he lives a 4 hour drive from me. But he said to do the full with sensor deal at least every 100k - 125k miles.
Another thing he's made sure I do. Every 50k miles: change trans fluid and get minor tuneup (wires and plugs. check distributor cap for problems). Some might call it a waste, but she is still going strong at over 200k miles.
I've only had 2 codes ever pop up on my Blazer. One had to do with the stupid gas cap not being tight enough. That got fixed VERY quickly. The second code meant a full rebuild of my transmission. That was fixed quickly too.
