Default Gas Tank Popping

I keep having a popping noise that seems to be coming from the gas tank. Usually shorty after shutting truck off. Its a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4x4 with the TrailBlazer Package. Any ideas what it could be?

Had the same popping noise and it was caused by the old original muffler . Changed to Flowmaster 44 ant the noise went away. I now enjoy some ohter noises caused by the new muffler.... (sounds like a big one).

Greetings from Europe, Axel

I'm having the same popping noise on my 99 Jimmy. What does the vent look like and is it easy to clean?
