Question gasket part # 99 chevy blazer

Hi,
Need some help with gasket id and correct part #.

These gaskets fit between the radiator oil line assembly & remote filter housing.

I replaced this hose assembly about 18mos ago and it has started leaking at
this point, the crimps are fine.

I've got the local Napa store trying to find it but no success.

Anyone know the correct part # / description for these gaskets ?

Thanks,
Chris

go to newgmparts and you can see the hoses under cooling systems. Or you can call them at 877-498-7278. Hopefully it is sold separately from the oil cooler lines.

I just used Dorman #66201 on my '95. If you buy the kit with the gaskets for the adapter that goes on the block, it comes with some crappy looking o-rings that don't fit. They WILL leak! Ask me how I know... lol. (Although at least one member here used the o-rings with success, I would advise against them.)

The Dorman 66201 is the correct part for the gaskets for the lines. It comes with a set for the line from adapter to oil filter, and a set for the line from oil filter to radiator.

My O'Reilly's had them in stock ($10.99); I'm sure NAPA carries them as well. Autozone doesn't even show a part number for them.

Hey Red,
Thanks for info.

Question about the Dorman 66201.
Did you install both gaskets [figure 8 looking type]
on the lines going to radiator? Or is one enough?

Could I use some RTV along with one gasket as a temporary repair?

I didn't do the radiator lines, I did the block to filter line, but it's the same concept. I put one of the figure eight gaskets at each end of the line I did. I didn't use any rtv or anything. Just clean the surface, and you're good to go.

Hey guys,

Thanks for info on dorman gasket.

Just wanted to clarify something. There were 2 of the [figure 8 looking]
gaskets on the oil cooler line assembly.

I needed my truck today, so yesterday I decided to reinstall 1 gasket.
Cleaned and dried all surfaces and put small amount of permatex gasket
paste on both sides of gasket and then installed and torqued to 26ft/lbs

I also cleaned/degreased the entire lower area so I could be sure of spotting leaks. Made a 40 mile trip today and checked when I got home, area around
oil filter was dry But...... noticed that 1 crimp on hose going to engine block was weeping, so decided to dremel/cut the crimp off and replace with 2 hose clamps. It seems good after short test run. I will check it often to make sure repair is holding.

I'll have the new dorman kit on hand and replace as needed.

thanks again for the help.

Chris

If I was going to risk clamping I would for sure use fuel injection type clamps
