I have a 1995 s10 blazer had a problem with a bad heater core that I had to replace in the process I had to drop the steering colum but everything back together only to find out the car wont shift also you cant get the key out turns out by lowering the steering colum it streches the cable and strips off the little plastic teeth on it I can get it into gear by taking buttom cover off and using pliers to release to shift and get key out dealer is saying the part is 175.00 for the cable but that there is a way to bypass interlock solenoid has anyone done this and can help me with the process should it try to get the part from junk yard if so how to replace it
