I just purchased a 2001 Ls Sr2 Blazer and found that twice when I'm driving it at higher speeds (45 to 60) I get this high pitch whine like something is stuck, as I slow down the pitch becomes lower till I get to a stop I hear a click and then its gone. it has happened to me twice. The second time I shifted it into N to see if it was the trans.. the noise continued. I was on a straight away and no hills, when I let off the gas the noise continued and got lower in pitch as my blazer slowed. Almost sounds like a gear grinding? I was in 2 wheel drive at the time also.
I took it in for a quick inspection and everything under it looks good accept it needs a stabilizer bar replaced. I do have the ABS lights coming on from time to time but only once and awhile. The light was on the second time this happened but not the first.. Any ideas?
