Ok, well one day this week I was driving down a pitch black highway while it was blizzarding and hit a huge solid drift at about 100kph, well actually 2 of them, as i couldnt see them from my crappy headlights(really crappy) I fricken nailed that thing and i swear i caught air []

Now sometimes when I make a turn I can hear a grinding noise that seems to be coming from the rear passenger tire, anything you guys can think of? I popped my head under and i couldnt see anything.....but now its in the -35*C mark again and its too cold to really take a good look.

damn, wish i got a vid of me jumpin a stock blazer I just hope my tire dosent fall off next time i drive....

 

Need to figure out which direction you turn makes the noise then it will give us a better idea of what to guess at...

 

Could be your backing plate on one of the rear brakes. Korey

 

well actually i can hear it not turning as well, but sometimes you cant hear it at all, like when i get up to driving speed.

 

could something have bent? cuz the noise kinda goes along with how fast the tires are turning.......

 

Like Kordog says, probably a backing plate bent and rubbing the rear brake drum (or rotor).

 

serious problem? I dont know what the backing plate looks like.....likely to eat away at the rotor and mess up the brake?

 

Any kind of rubbing will do some damage eventually...

Just crawl around underneath and see if you can see anything that looks like it shouldn't be touching anything moving, or the like...

Specifically around the wheels...

 

Take off the tire where you feel the noise is coming from, there will be a metal plate round in shape that keeps water from entering the braking area from the inside of the axle. If you have bent these then you would have a bent wheel also because the backing plate and brakes are shrouded by the wheels...what you might have done is broken loose/bent the emergency brake cable mountings. The cables run down the frame and then to the rear wheels...

 

Take it to a shop and have them look.
