believe it or not it is most likely your pcv valve that is causeing this noise. i had the same issue and it bugged me forever.... go under the hood with the engine running and reach down to the pcv valve and feel it, it is probably vibrating like mad... replace for 3 bucks and i bet the noise goes away.

I have the exact same annoying issue. I was very sceptical about the pcv valve fixing the issue, but for 2.99, I gave it a try. As I suspected, after my new pcv install, the noise is still there. Has anyone come across a fix for this issue?

It isn't so much the valve itself, but the vacuum line from the PCV valve resting on the cruise and/or throttle cables. If you just replaced the valve and didn't check for clearance along the length of the PCV vacuum line, you didn't address the issue.

Thanks. I checked mine. It was unplugged from thevalve cover and I rerouted the vacuum tube also. Hopefully that cures it.
