Default Haywire dashboard

Question, what would cause my gate ajar, seatbelt, service engine, etc., lights to go haywire. They flash in and out intermittently. This is also effecting my odometer and gear indicator. My odometer may or may not count the miles. At the moment it is reading in kilometers or just sits at 999,999 kms. And the gear indicator disappears completely for most of a drive. Help.

Default RE: Haywire dashboard

dirty battery connections, loose wire(s) on starter, Or diode failing in the alt. Are the only things I can think of
