what is the head bolt torque sequence on a 98 s-10 blazer v6 4.3 vortec

 

The reason for all the degrees that are confusing for individual bolts is because if you are using new bolts like you should be. the thread lock on the bolts screw up the reading when you torque it down. I suggest you use both the torque offered above and also use the torque angle gauge to ensure that the thread lock doesn't give a false reading due to it being on the threads.(the thread lock)!
You don't want to do the job twice!

 

I have a 02 ls that i love dearly!!!!! she is a tough ole girl but at this minute i'm actually in the shop with my friends doing a top engine rebuild and the specs were really handy!!!!!

not fond of that "degree" thing when torqueing fasteners, moms '12 mazda is that way, didnt see any evidence of threadlocker on the headbolts, id never heard of using new head bolts on a job before either, it seems like a set reading (like 95 ft pounds) would be alot more accurate than trying to do a extra half turn or whatever "degree" is mentioned. so, theres a tool or something to give you a idea when doing this? otherwise im going to be playing a guessing game here, not happy or comfortable about that....
