Hello All,
I'm new to the site, and am hoping someone can help me out. I have a 2004 Chevy S10 Blazer 2dr, and I recently had a headlight blow. I replaced it only to have other motorists furious with me cause they think that i'm high beaming them. I initially thought that maybe i bought too bright of a bulb and went back and bought the standard slyvania blub. However, once again I'm getting motorists who after i drive behind them, will move over, tail me and high beam me. I notice that the light beams in an upward direction, is there a proper way to install the bulbs? The piece that the blubs plug into has three prongs on it with one being thicker then the other two, allowing it to fix exact in the headlight case. I'm not driving with my high beams on if anyone is wondering either. Anyhow, I have no clue, any help is GREATLY appreciated.

installing a new bulb is incorectly is pretty imposible due to the three prongs you decribed, but its possible to intall the headlight itself incorrectly which it sound like you did. so go out to your blazer and take the headlight back out and also remove your grill(makes the process alot easier) then youll notice to arm type things on the back of the headlight those arms have a tab on the thatll go into 2 holes in the core support, slide the tabs into the core support then intsall the headlight like usual and your problem will be taen care of.

x2 on not getting the headlight housing into the slots on the bottom. It is quite common.
