Default Headlight short circuit

on my '97 Blazer I noticed that when my headlights are off my dash lights are on and when n the lights are on on the he dash light are off. The culprit was a a blown fuse . I replaced the fuse and all corresponding components worked but still had the dash light issue. When i turned on the lights the fuse would pop consistently. Can i assume the problem lies in the headlight switch? perhaps a pinched ground? let me know if you have any insight into this little problem.

Default RE: Headlight short circuit

What is the fuse that blows labeled? I belive it should be the PK LPS fuse correct? If it is that fuse powers the parking lights also. I would check the trailer wiring if the Blazer has it. Also if that checks out I would put a 20A circuit breaker in place of the fuse, turn on the lights, then watch the lights. Which ever one is the problem, usually will be the dimmest one/ ones. So let us know what else you find out. Korey.
