Talking 98 Blazer heating issues

After getting frustrated looking for blend doors to check them I decided to check my fuses first and low and behold after pulling out the fuse for radio and ac then putting them back heat started working .

Is your heater still working? I seem to be having the same problems. The heater blows cold air, but it's not the heater core because both lines running in and out if the cabin are both hot. I checked all my fuses and they all look good, but the heater kicked back on after messing with the fuses. The only problem is that the heater will stop working again. It's cold a lot more times than hot right now.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I just wanted to follow up incase anyone else see's this post. It turned out to be the blend door actuator. The problem started when I killed my battery while listening to music and working on the car at the same time. I heard some weird noises coming from inside the cabin, and apparently that was the gears in the actuator binding up. From further research I did it sounds like this is a common problem if your battery dies.

When I was messing with the fuses it actually reset the actuator and kicked it in the heat position. The only problem was that I couldn't get it to cool anymore. If these end up being your problems then just search "blend door actuator" and you will find How To's for replacement. You can replace it easily without removing the dash. The worst part is that a replacement part was $140.
