I have a 2000 Blazer with the auto climate controls. My heat is not working, but both heater hoses are warm at the firewall. I am old school, I prefer to control the simple controls... could I change the computer control for a standard 3 **** mechanical controller?

Also - what is the the thing to do when you have both heater hoses warm, and no heat? (again, 2000 2wd 4dr computer climate controls)

 

the motor for the blend door might have gone out. its pretty simple to check the motor. all you have to do is turn the car on, engine off. wait for all the beeping to stop and then turn the temperature from cold all the way to hot, or vise versa. if you listen carefully you should be able to hear the motor working under the dash. if not then you have your answer.
i dont know how hard it would be to switch it over from the automatic to the manual.
