Pretty sure it the the core smell antifreeze when heat is turned on and see traces of coolant under dash and on rug on passenger side. Whats a ball park figure on hours to repair and the cost to have it done. I realize labor rates vary.

 

Why not call a couple of mechanics and ask them what they would charge?

I believe I got a pretty good deal at $750 for replacing mine. I just didn't have the time to get it done and needed heat rather quickly. It is very labor intensive so don't be surprised at a quote over $1000.
