Heater core question
Some time ago I had an issue which has been diagnosed (only here by the forum, I haven't had it looked at yet) as a possible busted heater core. Now at first the symptoms were noticable (defrost/white fog issue, etc) however since I have not noticed any real issues. The only lingering problem I have is the slight smell of anti-freeze in my car. The heater/AC work just fine andI don't have the issue I was having with the white fog anymore.
I guess my question is, it has been some months since everything first happened and I'm wondering if in fact it is a busted heater core, how much damage can I be doing by not getting it looked at ASAP? I know it's going to be pretty expensive to have it taken care of but I want to know if waiting a little bit longer to have it taken care of would be a reasonable idea or if I should just bite the bullet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
