If you have it checked at an AZ make sure they don't do you any good deeds and reset.
Yea, don't dissconnect your battery for anything.

A code P0440 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
  • The gas cap is not installed or working properly
  • The purge solenoid has failed
  • The canister is plugged and not working properly
  • Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the code, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
  • Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses
  • Inspect for damaged or disconnected hoses around the Evap purge solenoid
  • Check and/or replace the sensor
  • Check and/or replace the purge valve
  • Have a professional use a smoke machine to detect leaks

If you still have 3 incomplete monitors, it means you did not perform the drive cycle in post #3 correctly. It must be followed exactly as written. If you don't, the monitors will not run and complete their tests. Looking for a problem before all of the monitors are complete is a total waste of time. Let the PCM check it, that's what the drive cycle does. There are certain things that the PCM monitors continuously, the rest are monitored only under certain driving situations. The drive cycle produces the situations that the PCM needs in order to run and complete each test. If all monitors pass, no SES light. If one or more fails, the SES light will come on, a DTC will be set in memory, and you can diagnose the problem. You don't need to do the steps in order, but each step needs to be completed exactly as written. This will force all monitors to run and complete their test.
