Default Help!!!

I bought a 98 4x4 blazer a year ago. All was great. Then one morning I went to start it and it was running like crap! It stutters, stalls out when at stop lights, is sucking gas like crazy, and now has very slow acceleration. I took it to auto zone and a friend and the only code that came up with both was a cylinder 4 misfire but ALL plugs and wires have been changed and rechecked. I don't know what I do and have already put so much money into this truck I need to just fix it already! Any ideas will be very much appreciated!!!

You might have a clogged injector/s. Upgrading to MFI helps but costs atleast 175. It is also a good time to change out your intake manifold gaskets which will fail if they havent been replaced already. Might wanna take a look at you distributor cap and rotor as well.

Do a fuel pressure and leakdown test. Instructions are available here on the Forum. That's always a good first step for diagnosing Blazer problems.

Did the '98 year still have an EGR valve? If so, take it out, probably find a chunk of carbon in the valve keeping it from closing. Clean the intake passages and EGR, reinstall. $0 fix.
