Hey guys I'm new here. But took my blazer to the hospital, and she wouldn't start back up. No crank or anything. Well I've been searching and reading your forum, and thought the culprit could be the ignition switch, until I pulled it and the contacts were not burnt? But from what I've gathered the yellow wire in the ignition circuit is what engages the starter. So I hit it with a multi meter an it only read 5 volts, not sure if that could be the issue? I've tried jumping the starter and it rolls over but doesn't fire. Anyone have any ideas?

Crank fuse in underhood fuse block 10 amp
Dont understand the 5 volts but look there first. then at ign C. And if you had ignition on while jumping solenoid to crank it should have started.

I don't either, I mean all the other wires in that circuit are getting atleast 12 volts one was reading 15 volts? Well it was turning over but it wouldn't fire. Idk what the deal was there. I have a new ignition switch to try, but I'm not entirely convinced that's my problem. I'm 21 and have been working on vehicles since 15, so I'm pretty mechinically inclined. I have access to about any tool I need, just need advice lol. My last project was a 96 3.8 camaro, had her for two years did ALOT, two engine swaps, lots of custom stuff done. Was on 3 forums for it lol, so I'm not new to forums either.I bought a 91 syclone for $4k from my aunt, needs restored and that's why I'm trying to fix my blazer to sell to have money for my new toy.

Looking at your pic I'm think maybe neutral safety switch, or starter relay possibly?

You said you have a switch, you can get to the conection block without taking that much apart. Leave the old one in place unbolt the block and bolt the new one in turn it and see if it works if not swap the relay- nobody here can do it for you- good luck- tell us what happens.

Looks that I have to solder the new switch in right? If so an that don't fix it then I can take it back, because it will have wires soldered to it, right?
