It seems the new fuel pump is bad. Tried unhooking the lines and no fuel came out. It has power but is simply not pumping.

The brand name is Spectra Premium. That is who manufactured it.

Does the brand really make that much of a difference? Shouldn't an off brand still pump out the gas?

yea it do people put after market ones and there trucks run terrible and after that the pump will die after 4 or 5 months
i learned my lesson the hard way
