My 1995 4.3 4x4 blazer would not hold a charge. Inspected the alternator and found that one of the wires on the plug is not going anywhere. the brown wire goes into a bunch of other misc wires and then the pink-colored wire looks like it was pulled out from somewhere and I can't find where it goes! I've looked at wiring diagrams and haven't had any luck. Any help would be appreciated, even a picture would be awesome!

I know for sure the battery is shot. But still, the wire on the alternator needs to be fixed to keep future battery's from getting shot.

Well in my 96 there's 2 wires the main positive battery cable bolts up to back of the alternator, and then one ground wire coming from the wiring harness on the side i could take and post a pic if you'd like. but i think your dealing with a bad alternator. If you can, start it and put a voltmeter on the battery and make sure your getting at least 13V from the alternator.
