Driving kids to school today the anti-lock brakes definitely worked as I slid to a stop sign, but then light came on on the way back and they don't work now. Don't even know where to start with this. Any help appreciated.

Just replaced front pads about 2 weeks ago - ABS light only came on today, though today is the first day we have had really slick conditions since then. If I damaged the sensor wire then, why would this happen now two weeks later? How can I test if it is sensor wire - and is this a repair I can do?

The wife has to drive this rig over the pass to work - so I really gotta get it fixed. Again any help appreciated! Thanks!
