Default Help! Fixing a hacked wire job. Pictures

95 blazer 4x4. I had a problem with knock sensor code. Changed out everything and found that the wire at the computer harness was cut. A new (blue) wire was ran to what looks like the connection for the CPI to the computer. I think they grabbed the wrong wire and bypassed the the knock sensor by mistake. I traced the wires and was able to reconnect the knock sensor wire and code has since cleared.

Can someone help me figure out the wires that are suppose to connect to the CPI. Thanks

There are a blue and red wire with a black connector from the CPI (looks original).
That is connected into a blue connector with a pink wire and a tan wire.
I have included a photo to try to show it. I don't have editing software, so you have bubbles that label the wires.

According to the Chilton's Manual they are dark blue and pink. I wish I'd seen this last week. I had my intake off and could have gotten a pic. Mine is all tucked up nice and neat so It'll be a bit to get to it (under my radiator hose) I'll try to get you a pic later today. But yes it looks like the connector to the CPI. But I honestly can't figure whoever did that was doing. the pink wire is supposed to go to the fuse block and the blue wire goes to the fuel injector controls. I have no idea what those other wires spliced in are supposed to do. Even the original doesn't split off like that.

I ended up removing all the spliced wires. Runs fine. I think the top connector being used is not the original one and that is why it has different color wires??? Thanks for your response. I think my wire color has faded and it is probably blue and pink instead of green and white like I thought. No codes so far, so I am good. Thanks

One wire was tapped into red wire on the firewall harness. The other was connected to the ecm where the knock sensor wire should have been connected. A real mess. It still has no codes, I basically removed all the junk and got it back to how I think it was supposed to be wired. So far so good. Thanks
