I'm new here but have a problem. I have a 96 Chevy Blazer 4d 4wd. My model has the trunk with the glass that opens up and the hatch that opens down with the handle on the inside to open the bottom hatch. So I can open the glass but the handle to open the bottom hatch isn't connected to the mechanism to unlock it n make it able to open. And I can not remove the cover because the screws hold it in from the side. So how can I open this with out breaking anything???

Any suggestions before I break it

cut the cover
ADDED: Reason to do that is it doesnt bend, break or misalign any of the mechanism.

Easier to replace/repair cover than to realign gate/latches etc.

That was my next step but didn't want to have to look for a replacement in a junk yard. O well looks like that's my only option, will be cutting it tomorrow morning.

I looked on JC Whitney for the replacement plastic but couldn't find it? Anyone know where I can find it?
