Default Hey, Newb here, with a fuel gauge question

When you guys have a full tank of gas on the 95,96,97's how full does your gauge read? Does it touch the "F" post pictures if yo got them.

trad444, welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of info on here for most anything you could want to know. Here is a link to about 100 threads involving the fuel guage.

just use the search function at the top (center) of the page and your off and running on most things.

BTW I'm always on E, always staring at a fuel warning light, and most of the time I remember to re-set my odometer...

agreed - im a odometer re-setter as well. Working gas gauges are for poo heads, lol j/k. anyhow, the chevy gas gauge, if i recall, is measured in ohms resistance - 90 ohm full tank and 0 ohm empty. so that being said, the resistance of the sender could just be old and not sending 90 at a full tank.
