Exclamation high pitched squeal or scratch rear end

I have a 1998 s-10 blazer LT. Just did a rear brake job last week and everything was ok. The right rear pad on the inside was down to bare metal and we replaced both sides of the vehicle in the rear. As of this mornin the squeaking/ squealing came back and is louder then ever. I cant seem to understand how to stop the noise or how to find whee it is coming from. Any help at all with this would be highly appreciated.

I had this exact problem after doing a brake job on the rear of my old 2k Bravada. It ended up being the stamped steel shim pieces that fit into the caliper bracket to hold the pads. These were hitting the rotor. Some screwing around with a screw driver got them bent out of the way and cured the problem.

If I remember right, I used a very thing flat blade screw driver and reached up along the rotor from either side just between the rotor and the caliper bracket and just pried it up and out of the way.
