I'm going to start off by saying that I have no problem with going to the dealer if it come to that, but is it anywhere in the car before I make the trip? It's a 2004 blazer zr2, Thanks for the help guys

years ago I pulled the trunk lock out of a Trans Am and took it to the dealership
they pulled the tumblers out of the old lock to make the new one and got the code from the tumblers
My Toyota had badly worn keys when I bought it
Dealer had me pull the lock out of one of the doors and the code number was stamped right on the lock
You are probably best just talking to the guys at the dealer parts counter
They are not all as bad as the rap they are given

Other then some very sketchy web sites, need to put a condom on your computer to use them, dealer is the best way. Make sure you bring some ownership doc's with you so it's not a wasted trip.
Like rexazz's said I have found some very nice people behind those counters. As anything else in costumer service it's all who you get.
