I have a 95 blazer 4.3L. I am getting no spark in the coil or the spark plug wires. We replaced the coil the distributor cap and rotor button. Replacing the wires and was told it could be the ignition control module. Help??!!

 

All depends on what ignition system your truck has. If the plug wires press down into the top of the distributor cap, the ICM is mounted in the bottom of the distributor below the rotor. If the plug wires come into the sides of the distributor cap (horizontally), then I believe the ICM will be mounted on the same bracket as the coil.

 

Correct. I have a 95 with the horizontal plug wires. The icm is a separate piece, mounted on the same bracket as the ignition coil

 

Good to hear! It's been a while since I have been under the hood of the many variations that GM crammed into the '95 s-series. Glad to see that I still remember correctly!

 

If your 1995 is the same as my 1999, you should also get a tube of thermal paste to spread on the surface of the ICM that mates with the heat sink. This is for efficient heat dissipation. I use this stuff...… ….(Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste) if it's cold outside where you are, bring the assembly inside so the paste will spread on easily.
