How hard is it to replace CATALYTIC CONVERTER?

My girlfriend was also reading up on the generic CATs especially the ones made in China. She was also concerned with what she read about how the cheap Chinese ones fail prematurely so she opted for an American made MagnaFlow since they seem to have a pretty good reputation as does Eastern.

Since there was plenty of room to work under the vehicle she opted to have me replace the failing original OEM CAT with a direct fit since I have the tools/skill to unbolt and rebolt but don't have the equipment to do welding.
