Hi blazer forums,

I got a P0422 code on my blazer and I think it was because of a bad gasket on my fuel cap. So I recently bought a new fuel cap and was wondering how long it would take for my check engine light to come off. Should I just disconnect the battery and let it relearn or would it go off in a few more cycles if that was the problem. I don't have my own scanner. I had to go to autozone to pull the code. The reason I am asking is because this month I need to get a new inspection sticker. Any help is appreciated. thank you.

 

I think for an emissions code it is 40 key cycles without a error. Autozone should be able to turn the light off for you.
