Default How much for a full brake job ballpark?

Hey guys, I am looking at a 2003 2wd Blazer LT - considering buying it.

Looks like it needs a brake job - rotors seem a little rough and the break pedal is soft. Wondering what getting new rotors/pads done runs?

you looking at getting the front and back done? pads are around $20 a pair, rotors are around $40 a piece and labor so your looking at $250-$300 if you get the front and back done. probably $150-$200 for the front. break pads and rotors really aren't that hard to change as long as you have a socket wrench and a jack. you'd probably save yourself around $100 doing it yourself

I agree. Brakes are extremely easy to do yourself. If you have the tools and know how then save yourself labour and do it yourself. The prices are exactly what benedict said...factoring in brands and stuff of course. If you end up needing a caliper or 2 (like I did when I did my rear brakes) then you're looking at an additional $50 for each caliper.
