Default How to remove AC compressor bracket of 97 Blazer 4x4

Hi I am driving my blazer in Germany. Since gas is very high price I am running my blazer on LPG. (propane)

My 97 blazer had a water leak since a long time on the lower manifold.
I did not paid attention to it. Now while I was driving the cylinder one failed.

I also had a hanging valve of bad hydro lifter. It was banging from the cam cover and it went away. So I decided to remove the cylinder head to do a valve job.

My car has 160.000 mls on the clock.

I hope you can help my blazer surviving on the German autobahn.

I have the three to bolt from the AC bracket and the lower one left to the power steering pump pulley. It is kind of loose but still hanging on one bolt.

hopefully you can ADVISE me hich is missing. see my photo.

Thank you Bob

You do not have to remove it. It just needs to be moved forward a few inches.

Here is a guide for replacing lower intake gaskets:

i believe there is a bolt behind the power steering pump you cant get too unless you remove the pump. You'll need a special pulley puller tool to do so. Gm made it difficult.

no not necisarilly ive had mine off several times with power steering pump attached
on mine all i had to do is remove the main bracket bolts(i think theres two) and nut then theres two nuts one on the bottom left side of the power steering pump and another directly behind the pump ive been able to get to mine with a 15mm and 3" extension (socket set) then it should slide off the bottom turn it slightly to get it off the back and hen it should come right out

then again this is just my experience from have to swap my engine out then later on change a lifter
