Ok so I saw an extreme s-10 while ago with some fancy led license plate bulbs and liked the look. So I ordered some bulbs and went to the garage, got underneath the truck only to find that I can not see the back of the housings. I looked through the site and it seems some people have been having problems with the bulbs, either just not working after just being disconected? Anyway, if any one has any ideas let me know. Thanks in advance.

 

i replaced mine in about 5 min not even very self explanatory just take a screw driver and pop it out. Each bulb housing has 2 clips on each side of it and you gotta push the clipsin and pull the housing out

 

The actual housing just comes out, huh. Thanks I was looking at it the other day and it seemed as if I was going to break it and I wouldnt wanna hurt her. Ill re-check it and be a little more aggressive, thanks again CR! Kinda felt dumb asking!!!

u dont even need a screw driver. On mine all i have to do is slide the housing up and pull it out.

 

If you have never taken it out before ive noticed that it kinda gets stuck in there from the years of built up crap so it can be a little stubborn but after you take it out the first time it's easy to take out from there

 

Yea it was a little stubborn and there was some junk around the clips and whatnot but I got it, Thanks all. Looks nice with the led's in there, well like most things with our trucks, which is some times nice you just gotta be aggresive. First time I removed my grill, I phoned a buddy with an s-10 pickup and he told me to pull on it.Haha. Anyways thanks again and I used a small metal ruler to depress the tabs so It didnt scratch the bumper.
