I can smell gas around the fuel pump
I had my fuel pump replaced in September of 2009, and it seemed fine ever since, but now that it's been really hot I've used my A/C and yesterday I noticed my fuel pump was awfully loud, so I got out and fuel can be smelled just by opening the door. The smell is coming from the fuel pump, and it's only while the car is hot so far. It sounds like it's continuously priming while the car is running, once again, only while it's hot. If I turn the car off while the smell is there, the scent goes away immediately, and there aren't any visible leaks. I'm not sure if it could be related to me using the A/C, I don't see how it would be, but it just started since I've been using it. This doesn't seem good so any insight would be appreciated. I've also had a P0446 code pop up lately.

All sorts of issues can cause this after a pump change, most likely a venting hose or fitting was broken during re-assembly-very common! Search this site and you will have all the leads to remedy this issue; It may mean dropping the tank again so drive it till its almost empty. The codes are described here as well and if I recall that may be the EVAP code. Don't even smoke around this car until it is fixed!

I think you may have more than one problem.
Do you recall the tank having a lot of pressure last time you took off the cap?

The P0446 is indicating a problem with the vent solenoid or its circuits and could be the cause of the fuel odor. Another possibility could be a leaky O ring for the fuel pump module. Aftermarket fuel pump modules frequently have the wrong size O ring, and they leak, causing a fuel odor and EVAP DTC's to be set. I'd agree with broken or incorrect seals during installation, but the shop I used only uses AC Delco, and I didn't have this problem until the other day, about 2 & a half years after installation. And actually the code may be P0452 or 458, I'll check again when I get in the car to make sure.
