Default I could really use some help here guys!!

I got a 99 blazer 4wd in a trade about 9 months ago. The trans was bad so I removed it and sent it off to be rebuilt. I told my trans guy to take his time and he really took advantage of that lol

Anyways, I took the truck apart 9 months ago and I am struggling to remember how a couple things came off. This forum really helped me get most of the install done but I have 2 problems.

I cannot remember how the shifter linkage goes back on and what it mounts to. I dont know if the metal piece that swivels goes up or down and like I said I have no idea how to mount this thing back up.

I also have a mystery part that I labeled "transfer case" but the rest of the words are not legible.

Any help here would be very very appreciated guys!

mr_smith in the first pic you have you are looking at the neutral safety switch. the linkage bracket hangs down from post. in your second pic you show a bracket and shift cable. First hook up your shift cable to th neutral safety switch, the bracket on the cable itself bolts to the left rear 2 bolts of the tranny pan, 10mm bolts. I would remove the bracket by removing the metal clip and then squeeze the front of round mounting hub with channel locks and slip through bracket. Makes that one bolt much much easier to install. once bracket is installed remount cable and install clip. Finally the "mysterious" bracket mounts to the back of transfer case. the Rectangle shaped hole fits over a tab sticking out of the back of case. the open end of the bracket goes to the front of the blazer. your shift cable will fit between this bracket and transfer case. I believe the bracket is a skid plate to protect cable and case from high centering or road debris. Either two nuts or one nut and one bolt secure the bracket. Hope this helps

Ok im under the truck and having an issue. When i hook tje linkage to the safety switch, i cant bolt it too the pan. Its off by about an inch if i were to really force it hard it might go but the trans is in park and changing gears would push it back even more

I did have a hard time figuring out the vacuum lines. Could that cause the truck to not move at all?

no, have u ever put a trans in before? not being smartass. just want to help, u should be able to move the gear shifter with out startin the motor. just turn the key to run and step on the brake and try to put it in gear.
