First you need to find out if coolant is flowing through the core.
With blower on high, feel both hoses. If both hot, then it is and you have an air routing problem.
Next, make sure you can change vents. If so, then probably blend door. Select AC Max and see if air warms.

Of course that just MIGHT be a hint. Pull the rad cap when it's cold. If you are full then it's likely the thermostat.

Most of the time people pull them to try and hide or temporally fix an overheating issue. Glad you got your heat back

Im sure it will, these days cars like to be at operating temp to run correctly.

wow thats messed up, but anyways mine does but barely, might either be stuck open or in your case not there, now is it where the upper radiator hose goes into the engine? and how do you get to the housing for that do you have to remove a pulley?

White954X4 here are the steps that I did today to get to the thermostat.
1) Unhook the battery cable.
2) Removed the upper fan shroud.
3) Removed 4 nuts and washers from the fan pulley.
4) Remove fan.
5) Remove the alternator.
6) Remove the little bar on the idle pulley bracket and the nut on the water pump.
7) Remove the heater core hose from the top of the water pump.
8) Remove 2 bolts from the thermostat housing.
Hope it help you to get there easier.
