Default I need some assitance!!!

I have a 96 4.3 v6 vortec . the engine will crank over so i know it's not hte starter. it's getting fuel but no spark. I'm thinking it's the timing chain or something to do with the distributor, but i'm not sure . if any one has any idea what's goin on, let me. know. It was fine when it started and then i got about 50 feet and it just died on me. now it won't start... i'm really frustrated and i need it to get to school.

please email me at michellecboris@yahoo.com if you have any info that'll help!

You would definitely know if the timing chain failed as things would be way off and sound it.

It is quite possible that the ICM or the coil itself has failed. Both of these can be tested at your nearest Advanced Auto or Autozone store.
