A.I.R. System, and AIR Secondary crap??????
I have a 2000 S-Blazer 4dr 4wd with the A.I.R system which has been burnining hoses sticking check valves, and just basically a real pain. I was wondering has anyone had success just ripping the whole system out. My understanding is that this is a Cali. smog setup but i reside in NY and was just curious before I go spending 500$ to replace a couple of high temp hoses and check valves (Mostly dealer only here). PLEASE help.

Correct me if i'm wrong anyone but
since its a 2000 it's similar to the LS1s etc, i know that people remove all of the hoses and stuff for EGR and AIR, they bolt on cover plates for the pipes sticking out of the headers or manifolds. then they can simply get it tuned out so you wont have any codes coming up.

What do you mean by tuned out? Reprogrammed ? Thx for the quick reply!

i suppose so yes, not the entire computer, but just the codes/part that deals with the EGR and AIR emissions.
