Idler arm removal 95 4x4
Kay so I am in the process of trying to take off my old idler arm. The damn thing will not come off the center link. I have tryed a pickle fork but it's not moving at all. I have the 2 bolts attatched to the frame off and it seems as if the center links moving around absorbing most of the force of the hammer blows on the fork. Do you thnik I should reatatch the arm to the frame and seperate the idler arm from the center link before taking it off the frame?
Also changed both tie rods, inner and outer and put on new adjustment sleaves. The inner tie rods look a little loose to me where they join the center link....are these supposed to be pressed, or clamped in or something....the nut wont go any tighter.

I just did mine and i left the arm attached to the frame and took it off the center link first then the frame rail. also the way I seperated the arm from the center link was I took off the passenger side front tire and hit it through the side. More room and it seemed to only take a couple of good smacks. Good Luck.
