Ignition Control Module for 1995
I'm fairly sure the old OEM module is going bad. The thing only starts after a few tries, better when its been run recently and longer when not. I'd have gotten the old module tested but the local AZ/Pep Boys/Oreilly's cant test my 4-pin module and the dealer wants $95 to run a diagnostic (the thieves). That leaves me with buying one at the best price and trying it out myself.
I've got a good price on an ACDelco D1943a module that claims it works on the 95. Problem is, I don't know if its going to fit or even work when trying to replace the horizontal towered module I have.
Can I put an ignition control module with vertical towers on a 1995 that currently has a 4-pin module with a horizontal tower? I'd imagine the old 4-pin wire will connect without issue, horizontal or not, but I'm not sure the new module will fit on the old heatsink (leaving me to buy a heatsink)

Actually ICMs react to temperature as they wear out, this is a pretty common issue...
Could someone that actually knows the answer to my question chime in plz? A quick yes or no from Swartlkk or the like would put my mind at ease enough to go ahead w/ the purchase.

Are you certain it's losing spark? Stick a test light between the white wire and the pink wire at the ignition coil when it acts up. If it blinks while cranking, the pick up coil and the module are working. The symptoms you're describing sound like it could be excessive fuel pressure leakdown, have you checked it?
