Sounds to me that u are experiencing the common ignition switch issue.... I would guess u need to replace the ignition switch harness! Good news there is a sticky on forum showing u how to complete the task

Make sure the battery cable connections are clean & tight. Remove the bolts from the battery. Remove the bolts from the eyelet terminals, (pry the rubber insulators enough to remove the bolts). Clean the bolts, the eyelet terminals and the battery with a wire brush. Reassemble and make sure the bolts are tight.

Check the engine ground connection. Follow the negative battery cable from the battery down to where it connects to the engine block. Take it apart and clean with a file or wire brush.

Check the positive battery cable connection at the starter, and clean & tighten that as well.

Post your results, and we'll continue with diagnosis if necessary.

Hi. I had the exact same problem although sometimes dash light and no crank, then other times no dash lights but would crank. Either way the truck would not start. I pulled and cleaned all the ignition switch contacts put some dielectric grease in there and I have no problems since then. Its a bit of a fiddle getting it back together but saved some cash which I like cos I'm cheap.
