Default installing tank circulating heater

Hi I just purchased a zerostart series 8000 tank circulation heater for a 97 s-10 blazer unfortunately directions are very vague. so I am having trouble following them. Some questions I have is where is the antifreeze drain plug on the block, I'm assuming they are not talking about the plug on the radiator and does it matter which heater hose I cut into, directions just say left side passenger hose well it's new to me I haven't dealt with this before so asking for help.Haynes repair manual just doesn't what to give me the answers lol Thanks for any help in advance.

Default block heater ?

more info is needed. with what you have said so far im going to say if the heater is a freeze plug style, pop out a freeze plug on pass side and install.
if your using an inline heater put it on either hose coming from the block to the firewall and mount the heater as low as you can.
the coolant will heat and circulate through the system.
and if you can. return the haynes manual and buy a chiltons. i trust chiltons more. better info and more details

Since Haynes and Chilton merged I have seen no difference in the two. They are the same for my year Blazer.

Default haynes vs chiltons

no offense intended
i bought a Haynes for my 2000 ls 4x4 and hated it the info is vague and mis leading and the coverage of the vehicle sucks. i only bought it because it was the only book they had. i looked around and found a Chilton and its much better. i own Chilton for all 8 vehicles except for the 68 SS El Camino that one i still have my motors manuals. those i have all the way back to 1954

Default circulating heater

I had thought it was a frost plug also but the adapter they included in the kit is a screw in drain plug adapter which leaves me at a loss. the directions are telling me that the preferred heater inlet connection is from the engine block drain hole to the heater. If they mean frost plug why can't they just say that in the directions lol.

ok on the block under the exhaust manifold is a screw in plug. its used to drain the block around the cylinders. there is one on each side of the block. but all the heaters ive installed were on the right side. (passenger side)
as for the instructions. if the manufacturers wrote instructions in everyday english. anyone could fix things. and we wouldn't need mechanics.
