Default It's running again!!

I replaced the fuel pressure regulator on my '01 ZR2 this weekend. Iam happy to report that it is back on the road afterbeing parked forseveral weeks.

I couldn't get itto start after it was put back together. It acted exactly like it did before, and I was bent becauseI thought that i just wasted a bunch of time and money for nothing. A buddy who is a mechanic asked ifwe had any starting fluid. He popped the hose off of the back of the intake. While Itried to start it hesprayed a few shots in.When it finally fired up he continued to spray in afew shots until it was finally up and running on its own. It's been good ever since. I guess it just had to get its blood flowing again or something.

Just a heads up in case somebody has the same kind of problem after letting their truck sit for too long.

Glad you got it running.
Can I suggest replacing the spark plugs now. If you needed starting fluid, it's probably because the plugs are fuel fouled from the faulty FPR. The insulator on the spark plugs get saturated with fuel and they are never as good as they once were.
I'd change them to avoid future problems.

Ah, good call. I never thought of that.

That could possibly explain why it is running like hammered poo again. But at least its still running.
