My butt-dyno was telling me there was a power difference but I didn't want to get ahead of myself. On Friday I installed my K&N FIPK Kit and did a Mobil 1 Synthetic oil change (to change out my oil that had the seafoam in it). It rained all weekend so I hadn't gotten the chance to test the change. The results I got today were incredible.
The numbers:
16.45 @ 84.8 MPH
16.52 @ 84.5 MPH
16.53 @ 83.9 MPH
16.45 @ 84.9 MPH
16.59 @ 82.8 MPH
Avg with stdev: 16.51 sec +- 0.06
This is a 0.68 second average improvement on my 1/4 mile time. Not only that, but the times got even MORE consistent than after I did the seafoam.
I am very pleased with this intake...

How many miles did you put on the odometer with seafoam in the oil before you changed it? Did you change the filter too?

I wasn't keeping exact track of it, but I would estimate around 150 miles. I changed the filter to an AC Delco. I also forgot to mention that I cleaned the MAF sensor while I had it all apart, so that probably contributed to the time as well...

Your FIPK 2 will work even better if you install a flowmaster, gibson or any type of muffler...now that the engine is inhaling good, it needs exhaling...after I got the custom y-pipe the truck woke up one me as if it was dead before...

For the y-pipe, did you have to actually have it custom made? Like, at a muffler shop or something?

You have to have it custom made @ a muffler shop...this made my truck gain the low end I lost after I installed the muffler...my 4.3 now sounds like a 5.3!
