KC Daylighters don't fit.

So last week I put a Westin push bar on my truck. It's not a one piece, it's just the push bar. I noticed when I got it in the mail the bars are kinda thick. At the same time I orderd 6" KC 100W Daylighters. I finally got them in the mail today.
When I took the lights out of the box, I noticed these things were huge. So, I go to put them on my truck, but when I try to stick them in the mounting holes on the lower bar, the lights wouldn't squeeze in between the 2 bars.

That's not my truck, but that's what the push bar looks like.

Those are the lights.
Anyone else ever have a problem with lights not fitting onto a push bar?
My only solution to this is by the smaller rectangular lights.

what about mounting them sideways against the vertical bars on the pushbar. the lights would still be mounted in front of the grill but they wouldnt be as tall because the base if the lights is on the side not the bottom

instead of lights like OO they would be like IOOI

Ah, yes! I tried it, it doesn't fit right inside the bars, but it goes infront of them just enough to not stick out.
I'm gonna try this. I'll drill into my upright bars which are fairly flat, hopefully it works. I'll take pictures.

Thank you!

All I need now is a bit that will get through this steel.
I'll ask my dad when he gets home where they are.

use some cutting oil and you wont burn up the bits, but id return the lights and get smaller ones that do fit rather then drilling holes that will rust out in a few years.

I was thinking of getting smaller ones and putting these on the roof.
I don't know if the KC 4" lights would be any better.
The 5x7's are just as big..

I have a KC dealer book here with all the specs, where its at IDK but its here. The 4" are shorter then the 6" ones by 2"

I was looking at the 4" ones a while ago, but I can't find them.
I'm sure 4" might fit, but I might just put these guys in sideways for now, just to save money.

Cool, just make sure you prep the holes so they dont bubble rust on you. Ive noticed that the nerf/brush guard metal is less then good meaning in my area after 1 season of snow they rust up under the paint.
