hi all. i'm sure this has been asked a million times but bare with me. I just got a 97 blazer with keyless entry. the previous owner says it hasn't worked in a while. they thought it was a dead battery in the remote so they put a new one in. nothing works.

its a 2 door if that makes any difference. What is the correct reprogram sequence? anything else that could be failing? the doors door lock just fine by pushing the button on the door. its just the remote functions that don't do anything.

all i know is you might have to go to the dealer to get the remote reprogrammed which local to me charges about $20 or $30. if you come across a way to program them yourself please let me know, as i am deciding wether or not to get a wireless key-fob. good luck!
