keyless entry remote

Default keyless entry remote
I currently have one keyless entry remote for a blazer 2000 and I decided to take one of the junk yard(only one I could find was blazer 2002) to program it in case I ever lost the other one. But it does not seem to zinc with the car. The remotes look Identical. Is there a range of years of remotes that will work with the blazer 2000?Thanks for the help.

Check the FCC ID on both remotes. The replacement remote needs to have the exact same FCC ID for it to work.
