Default Keyless Entry AND Seat Lever

Hi Guys,

I'm sure I just over looked these topics, but need some help on 2 of my latest issues.

I have a 98 Blazer LS.....

1. Seat levers broke on both sides--Can I just pick these up at Autozone or do I have to order them online? Are they easy to install?

2. Keyless entry does not work- I bought the truck used and it never worked. Pretty sure it's the standard factory model. I already bought new batteries for the remote and still a no-go...Could it be disconnected, or fuse? How can I tell? I'm a girl, so not too handy under the hood, but I follow directions well..lol

Thanks for your help!

You may need to program the transmitter(s). Here are instructions:
Transmitter Programming:

1)With the driver door closed, hold down the power unlock button on the door panel.

2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position

3)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position

4)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position

5)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position

6)Release the power unlock button on the door panel.
The remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner in order to indicate that the receiver is in the programming mode:

6.1)Locking the doors

6.2)Unlocking the doors

IMPORTANT:
All extra transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new transmitter is programmed it will deactivate the old transmitters.

7)Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter until the remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner:

7.1)Locking the doors

7.2)Unlocking the doors

8)Repeat step 7 for each additional transmitter

9) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.

As for the recliner seat handles, this is common problem for these models and the best solution is too order these improved types:

Good luck!

Glad that worked! Good luck on the handles. I purchased a pair a while back and did the trick, although I did end up cutting away a bit of the plastic trim to make it fit.

Drivers side lever is still intact... Screw still there-that should be easy, BUT the passenger is broken off...the metal rod that sticks out from the seat looks broken and the lever itself broke off.The inside of the lever that broke looks totally stripped...Think that will be my problem child..

Hey G Mike....Where you able to fix yours? Thinkin' we may have the same issue......
