Question Liftgate glass alignment 96 Blazer 2DR

Hi Everyone, I am hoping to get some help with my 96 Blazer 2Dr 4WD. I had to replace the liftgate glass due to my old one exploding when I tried to open it. I did get a used one from a local yard. Same part #, came off an identical truck ect. Is there a way to align these for a better fit? The one I have now needs to move left just a bit for a better fit. Too wide of a gap on the left side of the truck. Where the hinge meets the body is a direct fit. There is a guide pin that lines up the hinges with the screw holes so there really is no way to move it. Now, where the glass meets the hinge, there is a 10mm bolt on the underside of the glass. Is this where you can adjust this thing from right to left?? I'm thinking there has to be a way. I doubt GM made this as a direct fit, take what you get item. Do I have to use my old hinges?? I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks, Rob

HMMM! I had a 96 4 door(different glass) It was leaking moisture & monoxide-seals were good! Struggled with this for hours, found that the latch assembly in the gate IS adjustable-just cant remember how I did it-can't even look at my Jimmy as it is in NC this weekend and I am in MD. Try searching this site! Let us know!

Hi Step, Thanks for the reply. I am talking about the glass itself, not the latch. For the latch, there ate two 10mm nuts that need to be loosened behind the panel cover for the tailgate. Loosen those two and you can pretty much move that latch just about anywhere. I am looking for the glass itself. How it lays on the back of the truck. I have a wide gap on the left side where the glass meets the side of the truck. On the right, it is all the way against the side of the truck. I need to move the liftgate glass just a little to the left. There is no adjustment where the hinge meets the truck. However, I have heard that the two bolts on the underside of the glass where the hinge and glass mate do have some movement for an adjustment. I wanted to be sure before I started to play around with them. Don't want to break my new glass liftgate. I have searched the forums, all I have found is regarding the latch. Nothing on glass alignment. I was hoping someone on here has went through this before.
