Default LIMITED SPEED PROBLEM

Hello everybody!

I do own a 1998 Blazer ZR2, nice vehicle but I just can't stand a little problem I got with its speed...

Each time I do reach 160 km/h the eprom blocks the fuel injection and I cannot go any faster that that. Is it the same for you?

I precise that I do live in Europe (Switzerland) and maybe you haven't got this sort of problem back in the U.S., is it?

I'm looking for a modified EPROM in order to solve this problem because I'm sure my Chevy may go much faster than this, isn't it? Unfortunately I didn't find any suitable way to solve this annoying modify I guess they do when Blazers are imported in Europe.

Thanks in advance for any help and BYE!

I think 55 m/h is about 80 km/h (I'll check my speedo later...I have both...us Canadians..always thinking!), so 160 would be around 110 mph

Thank you blazin97 for the info... could you be more precise about that chip? do you eventually know where I may find one in the net?

Bye and thank you,

Easy fix, Buy a hypertech programer, with this you can remove the speed limiter and also change shift points, plus much more.
