Little square alu box behind ashtray?

Found this when I removed my dash. What is this little aluminium box that are bolted to the dash frame behind the ashtray. There are a blue el. connector going to it.

You have probably found the RKE box. (Remote key-less entry.)

On my 96 its the TCCM that is behind the ashtray. I have the RKE under the dash on the drivers side.
